Income report for August 2022 — Content, content, content!
After fewer posts in July, I am back to my usual publication rhythm with more articles. How did it affect my stats?
Medium
I posted more in August (12 articles) and spent more time reading other content on Medium. The effect is visible immediately. Views went up by about 3,500, reads went up by +600, and fans have doubled since last month. My read ratio is currently at about 22%. I struggled with this since the beginning of my Medium adventure. Shorter posts seem to work better, but my tech articles require a certain length to be useful. I’ll have to compensate for this with more views, I guess 😎
Audience development looks good. +32 followers, +4 subscribers, -1 referrals. Not a big growth, but I appreciate any follower, subscriber, referred member, clapper, reader, or viewer. And I also hope, they enjoy my content and learn something new from it 💪
