During the Google I/O 2023 developer conference, Google announced countless new features and changes for Firebase. If you’re interested in all the details, check out the Firebase blog or watch the recorded keynote online. In this document, we’ll break down the highlights.

Let’s dive into the content now.

Firebase

Many companies rely on Terraform as their infrastructure-as-code solution. Firebase now has Terraform support, which allows you to manage projects, apps, and key cloud resources. Check out the documentation for code samples.

Extensions

With AI being a hot topic, it was only a matter of time before the first AI-powered extensions made their way to Firebase. And now, that time has come. Google has released several extensions powered by the PaLM API (Pathways Language Model). You can find the new arrivals in the Extension Hub. Check it out!
